Bid Notices
Beginning July 1, 2016, Jones County will post notice on this page of bidding opportunities for public improvement projects when the estimated cost of the project is expected to exceed the threshold established in Iowa Code Section 26.3, as adjusted. Visit the Iowa DOT website for more information on the dollar threshold.
In addition, the bid notices will be submitted to the Master Builders of Iowa for email distribution to its entire subscriber base.
Jones County may choose to also publish notice in various local publications and may solicit bids from applicable vendors, depending on the project.
Notices are required to be published on this site no fewer than 13 days and not more than 45 days prior to the bid filing deadline. See 2016 Senate File 2170.
Central Park Farmland for Rent

The Jones County Conservation Board will accept bids for rent of farmland as follows:
Fourteen cropland acres, more or less, as part of the property known as "Central Park" in Section 12 Township 84 N, Range 3 West of the 5th PM, Jones County Iowa. The lease contains fertilizer requirements. One year cash lease beginning March 15, 2026. This lease includes standard rent plus flex rent. In 2025 the 14 leased acres produced 95 alfalfa round bales from 3 cuttings. Jones County Conservation reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Eby's Mill Wildlife Area Farmland for Rent

The Jones County Conservation Board will accept bids for rent of farmland as follows:
Fifteen and one half cropland acres, more or less, as part of the property known as "Eby’s Mill Wildlife Area" in Sections 1 and 2, Township 85N, Range 2 West of the 5th PM, Jones County Iowa. Two-year cash lease beginning March 15, 2026. 100% of the annual lease payment is due by March 15th. Sealed bids are due in the Jones County Nature Center Admin Office at Central Park (12515 Central Park Road, Center Junction) no later than 12 pm, December 30, 2025.
Written bids shall be submitted for a lump sum amount. Jones County Conservation reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A map of the property and a copy of the lease agreement may be obtained from the Central Park Nature Center/Admin Office or at https://www.jonescountyiowa.gov/bid_notices/.
