Salary range $74,685.00 to $84,685.00, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Duties

Jones county Jail Administrator is responsible for directly supervising employees and overseeing daily jail operations

Job Qualifications

3 years supervisory / administrative background preferred

Good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation

Able to follow jail policy and procedures, Iowa State Jail standards, and Code of Iowa

Not by reason of conscience or belief opposed to the use of force, when appropriate

Read and write the English language

Demonstrated computer, bookkeeping, and organizational skills

Ability to write policy and problem solve

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Quicken and RMS

Must be 18 years of age

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license
