Seasonal Conservation Aide Position (3 month, 6 month and 9 month)

Under direction of the Conservation Resource Manager this position will assist with all aspects of the development of county wildlife areas, parks, preserves and trails in Jones County.
Employment Dates: March to November (start and end dates are negotiable).
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week. Typical work week Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM. Some weekend/evening/holiday hours are required. May be required to work in all types of inclement weather.
Salary Range: $11.50/hr - $15.25/hr
Under direction of the Conservation Resource Manager this position will assist with all aspects of development of county wildlife areas, parks, preserves and trails in Jones County.
Operate various types of equipment and vehicles.
Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Evaluate situations in the field and follow through accordingly.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the public.
Provide specific assistance to the public as needed.
Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, be motivated and a self-starter.
Ability to operate tractors, mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, power and hand tools.
