Join Jones County Conservation Department Staff as you learn some tricks and tips on how to catch largemouth bass at Central Park. Use your own equipment or borrow some of ours to try out your new fishing skills. Bait will be provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and insect repellent and dress for the weather. Anyone 16 and over must have a valid Iowa Fishng License to fish. Bass must be 15 inches or greater to take. Enjoy the natural beauty of the wooded bluffs and Grant Wood Country charm of the Wapsipinicon River! Explore a sandbar and feast on your picnic lunch or a snack from home as we learn about the natural history of this stretch of the Wapsi. Try to make a brief rainbow outside if conditions are good and then get crafty as you create some fun rainbow sidewalk art and have fun playing a few rainbow games. “Curious Clouds” is a come and go event, and takes place on Saturday and Sunday, July 16th and 17th, from 1 to 5 PM.
