Join Us For Sunset Kayaking at Central Park!
Join Jones County Conservation staff for a tranquil sunset kayaking experience at Central Park Lake. Experience the quiet beauty of twilight as you glide across the lake enjoying the sights and sounds of nature as birds, turtles, and other wildlife transition into the evening.
Perfect for beginners, this program offers a great introduction to kayaking. Conservation staff will provide kayaks, paddles, personal flotation devices (PFDs), and basic instruction to help participants get started with confidence.
All participants are required to wear a PFD. Those who prefer are welcome to bring their own life jacket or personal watercraft.
Sunset Kayaking Sessions will be held on the following dates:
- June 24: 7:30 – 9:30 PM
- July 22: 7:30 – 9:30 PM
- August 26: 6:30 – 8:30 PM
- September 23: 6 – 8 PM
- October 10: 5 – 7 PM
Additional Information:
- Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
- Participants must be 10 years or older.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
