The Jones County Courthouse will be closed to the public on Monday, March 16. The Clerk of Court office will remain open. If you have any questions for the Clerk of Court, they can be reached at 319-462-4341.
Proposed Property Tax Levy Public Hearing

The Board of Supervisors are holding a public hearing on the FY27 Proposed Property Tax Levy on March 24, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Courthouse in the basement Community Room. This public notice is linked here. The notice was also published in both the Monticello Express and Anamosa Journal-Eureka. Property owners in Jones County will receive a mailing with this same information, but it will also include school district information and city information if the property is located in corporate limits. The Iowa Department of Management published an explanation guide for the mailing. You can read the guide at this link.
