The Jones County Courthouse will be closed to the public on Monday, March 16. The Clerk of Court office will remain open. If you have any questions for the Clerk of Court, they can be reached at 319-462-4341.
Historical Document Archive
In 2024, the Auditor and Recorder hired ArcaSearch Digital Archiving Services to scan historical records and organize the records into an online archive. In the Auditor's office all Board of Supervisor minutes, Election Canvass documents, and Real Estate Index and Transfer books were scanned into the archive. This digital archive allows citizens to search historical records from their own computer.
