Central Park Nature Center Summer 2023 Monthly Nature Center Themes are free, come and go events.    Educational exhibits, displays, crafts, and activities change monthly. 

Nature Center Hours include Saturdays and Sundays, Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend.  The Nature Center is also open during the work week from 8 AM - 4:30 PM, when staff are present.

Join the Dubuque, Jackson, and Jones County Naturalists on a kayaking adventure down the Mississippi River.  Explore the Dubuque river front from Mud Lake Park to A.Y. McDonald Park.    Registration required.  Scan the Eventbrite QR code on the flyer to register.  

Family Fishing Friday - Beginning Largemouth Bass Fishing!

Bring your family to Central Park at 8 AM on Friday, July 7th to learn - Beginning Laregmouth Bass Fishing.  Bring your own fishing gear or borrow some of ours to try your new skills at catching largemouth bass at Central Park Lake. 

Iowa Fishing Rules and Regulations Apply:  Those 16 and over will need an Iowa Fishing License to fish.  Bait provided.   Please register for this session by visiting by clicking here and completing the registration information.   This family program is intended for families to attend together not for unaccompanied children.
