Applications and requirements for food and vending licenses
As of July 1st, 2026 Linn County Public Health will be assuming licensing responsibility for all food service, retail food, mobile food, hotel/motel, home food processing establishment, unattended food, and vending in Jones County. Routine, pre-opening, and complaint inspections will continue to be conducted by Linn County Public Health.
License renewals and applications will need to be submitted to Linn County Public Health or by using the online USA Food Safety Portal. Payments in the Linn County Public Health office, can be made using checks, cash, or debit/credit.
