Foraging Series!

Mark your calendar and plan to attend the upcoming Foraging Series sponsored by Monticello Parks and Recreation and led by Jones County Conservation Interpretive Naturalist, Michele Olson.  Learn to safely identify, harvest, and enjoy a variety of nature's wild bounty.  Join us as we visit a variety of habitats during the spring, summer, and fall to to catch a glimpse of some of our states more common wild edibles.   

Sessions include:

Spring:  April 30th, 4 PM - Willow Park, Monticello (Meet at the shelter.)

Summer:  July 9th, 4 PM - Riverside Gardens Monticello (Meet near the pond.)

Fall:  October 15th, 4 PM - Central Park, Near Amber (Meet at the Nature Center)

Wear comfortable hiking clothing and footwear, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat.  Don't forget to bring a bottle of water.  Registration not required.
