Conservation Board Member, Dave Tabor Retires

posted on 9/25/25

Dave Tabor recently retired from being a Jones County Conservation Board Member.  Dave was on the board from 2011-2025.  He was an advocate for protecting and improving many of the conservation areas in Jones County throughout his years as a board member.

As Theodore Roosevelt once said...

“There is a delight in the hardy life of the open. There are no words that can tell the hidden spirit of the wilderness that can reveal its mystery, its melancholy and its charm. The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation increased and not impaired in value. Conservation means development as much as it does protection.”

Many thanks to Dave for his time, dedication and willingness to serve on the Conservation Board.
