Looking for a fun winter activity for the family?  Head to Central Park for some hiking fun!  Enjoy the winter Jones County Wild For Reading StoryWalk® Trail  Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner, illustrated by Christopher Silas Neal.  You'll find the StoryWalk® Trail in the Frankfurt Forest on the south side of Central Parks modern campground area. 

Central Park offers a variety of winter activities including hiking trails, snowshoeing, ice fishing, sledding, and bird watching.  When open, stop at the Central Park Nature Center to check out the exhibits or borrow a pair of snowshoes.  (Open most weekdays: 8 AM - 4 PM - Call 563-487-3541 to check on open hours and snowshoe availability)  Special Open House days throughout the winter offer fun craft activities and family fun.
